Welcome to Beth Pollock Burke's Wiki!

You will notice that I focus on FREE stuff that can be used with students.  New programs are coming out all the time, and other programs are "failing" all the time.  I do try to check links often, but if you notice a broken link, please feel free to Contact Me and let me know.  If you have any sites you'd like to add, feel free to Contact Me as well, or simply edit the page with the password "FREE."  Enjoy!

My Haypenny's Worth (my thoughts are nowhere NEAR worth 2ยข like a certain DW!)

Lots of new online tools come out every day.  Some make it, and some don't.  For those that do, I think it's important to use these tools effectively with students, and to do that we all have to share what we are doing with everyone else.  I am finding that so many teachers out there are hesitant to "give up" their hard work.  Please, please, please...share, share, share!  If you work your tail off on a project that other teachers use, be proud!  And, chances are, you'll "steal" a project that someone else worked hard on too.  Most importantly, you do NOT have to spend thousands of dollars to effectively integrate technology to support learning, and my hope is that what I am sharing will prove that to you.

I also want to mention that there are some neat and fun technology tools out there that we would (should) never use with our students.  In my presentations be prepared to see some of these tools because, believe it or not, we teachers need some time to just play with cool stuff.
